Q: How can I get wax off of my tablecloth?

Q: How can I get wax off of my tablecloth?A: Table centerpieces – like candles -- can make a table look beautiful, but when a candle drips wax onto your favorite tablecloth, it stops looking so beautiful! Do not worry, though, there is something you can do to get wax out of your table linens. When the wax first spills, clear off the excess wax with a spoon. Then place your tablecloth over an ironing board (stain up) and place a paper grocery sack over the stain. Apply a warm iron to the paper. Replace the sack as it saturates. Once wax is no longer transferring onto the paper, you can stop. If the wax was colored, use a prewash stain remover and then wash your tablecloth in hot water (unless your tablecloth’s washing instruction require a lower temperature). Wash your table cloth again and again until stain is fully removed, then place it in the dryer.
