Q: My dining room table wobbles. How can I fix this?
A:
Most likely, one of your dining room table legs is shorter than
the other. Regardless of whether it is your dining
table that wobbles, your kitchen table that wobbles,
or any other sort of wobbling table that you own, you can fix it
yourself. Do not get out the saw! The way to fix a wobbly table
is not to saw down the other three legs until they match the length
of the shortest one – no doubt, if you try this method, you
will have nothing but a table top by the time you are through! Rather,
attach something to the chair leg that is too short. You can use
a slice off a wine cork, a thick piece of felt, a piece of cardboard,
or whatever else you choose.
